About Me

My name is Alex Hoffman and I am first and foremost a writer (though I am many other things as well). I create worlds and I alter existing worlds. World-building is one of my favorite ways to exercise my imagination. I will think up lands and stories, people and places and entire histories. Even in the books that I read (not my own) I imagine alternative endings to stories.

I enjoy reading and writing above all other things and in many ways this has made me a very driven, focused, dedicated, and hard working individual. Writing a novel is a daunting task and it requires planning, dedication, commitment, and imagination. I have written novels myself, and I have a tremendous respect for anyone else who has accomplished the task.

I like to think that my creative writing is one of my most defining characteristics. My novels are something that I truly pour my heart and soul into; they are something that I work incredibly hard to create and polish until they are finished. Ironically, I also feel that a novel is never truly complete, it simply reaches a point where I can leave it alone and be satisfied with the job that I have done.
